ARCHSPIRE Unleash New Single Ahead of Forthcoming Album too fast to tie

2–3 minutes

Extreme technical death metal innovators ARCHSPIRE have released their latest single, Limb of Leviticus, offering another blistering preview of their upcoming album Too Fast to Die, due on the 10th April 2026.

The track marks the second advance cut from the record and captures everything that has defined the band’s rise: impossible speed, razor‑sharp precision and a surprising knack for memorable hooks. Even at their most chaotic, ARCHSPIRE continue to weave in moments of clarity, melody and groove before launching straight back into their signature whirlwind of rapid‑fire vocals and breakneck drumming.

Vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron commented on the new single with characteristic humour, noting that the band initially wrote it in an attempt to overwhelm their new drummer, Spencer Moore. Instead, Moore pushed them to take the tempo even further, cementing his place in the group’s evolving sound.

Formed in 2009, ARCHSPIRE have built a reputation for pushing extreme metal to its limits. Their live performances are notorious for their intensity, unpredictability and sheer velocity, something Aleron describes as “a bit of chaos that people struggle to put into words.”

Moore’s arrival in 2025 marked a turning point for the band. His first recorded contributions appeared on the album’s lead single Carrion Ladder, where he immediately demonstrated both technical ability and a natural fit within the group. Reflecting on the recording process, he explained that the material demanded rapid adaptation, but ultimately felt instinctive once tracking began.

Too Fast to Die was recorded in 2025 with producer Dave Otero, continuing a long‑standing creative partnership. The band spent several months in his Denver studio, isolating themselves from outside distractions to focus entirely on the album.

This release also marks ARCHSPIRE’s first fully independent record. A crowdfunding campaign launched early in the writing process exceeded all expectations, raising nearly $400,000 CAD in just 30 days and surpassing its initial target within the first day. Guitarist Dean Lamb recalled the nerves of launching such an ambitious project, but the overwhelming support confirmed the band’s decision to take full control of their future.

Set for release on the 10th April 2026, Too Fast to Die represents a new era for ARCHSPIRE: independent, revitalised and determined to expand their already devoted following while continuing to redefine the boundaries of extreme metal.

About Archspire

Widely regarded as the fastest band on the planet, ARCHSPIRE fuse extreme metal with neo‑classical intricacy and a rhythmically precise vocal delivery. Their high‑energy performances often blur the line between technical mastery and pure spectacle, creating an atmosphere that is as chaotic as it is celebratory.

Following the success of Relentless Mutation (2017) and the Juno Award‑winning Bleed the Future (2021), the band continue to stand at the forefront of modern technical death metal.
